I just have to toss this up here. I'm not particularly into crime stories (novels, tv, whatever), but Criminal by Ed Brubaker and Sean Phillips is one of the best comic books around. Check it out at your friendly neighborhood comic book specialty shop. Or just buy the trade paperback from Amazon.com here.

Hmm, I think someone graduated with his Ph.D. the other day ... maybe yesterday. I wonder who it could be.


That would be me with my crippled mother (she broke her foot a few weeks ago, hence my holding her up). The photographer was *supposed* to take the picture without including my holding of my mom's crutches, but well, it's so hard to follow directions, isn't it.

And that stupid gown makes me look huge. I'm not that thick. Honest!
