"wonderful mad electropop symphonies"

A hat tip to Warren Ellis on this, and posted here because I don't want to forget it, let's hear it for the Oxford-based techno group Space Heroes of the People, with songs located here.

"Barbie is a Robot" and "Tesco Disco" really tickle my fancy...

iPod Watch

Time for another lovely edition of What's In My IPod today:

Amy Winehouse, Back in Black
Kaiser Chiefs, Employment
Paul Hartnoll, The Ideal Condition
The Prodigy, The Fat of the Land
The Prodigy, Experience
The Propellerheads, Decksanddrumsandrockandroll
Rage Against the Machine, Rage Against the Machine
System of a Down, Hypnotize
Ulrich Schnauss, Goodbye
Weezer, Weezer

Plus there's a couple of mixed playlists, one an essential Nirvana mix and one an essential Orbital mix, as well as a playlist for the Woman to work out to and another with a bunch of techno crap.

I guess I'm just feeling rather techno right now.

What I'm Hearing...

Because doing this periodically amuses me, here's what's currently playing on my iPod Nano right now, album-wise.

Hybrid "I Choose Noise"
Kaiser Chiefs "Employment"
Nine Inch Nails "Year Zero"
Paul Hartnoll "The Ideal Condition"
System of a Down "Hypnotize"
The Raconteurs "Broken Boy Soldiers"
The White Stripes "Icky Thump"
Tool "Undertow"
Weezer "Weezer"

There's also a couple of song mixes, but only two are specifically band-themed: an Orbital mix, and one for Nirvana. I guess you could call those my personal Greatest Hits selections.

If you don't know who any of these bands are, remember that Google is your friend, and look them up. I'm too lazy to link them for you.
